Projects: Athletic Complexes
Delbarton South Fields
Baseball Field & Soccer/Lacrosse Field
MORRISTOWN, NJ
Delbarton School, located on 400 acres in Morristown, NJ, is a Catholic, private, all-male college preparatory school, educating young men from 7th to 12th grade. Delbarton's student body comprises students from more than eight northern New Jersey counties, and is ranked as one of the top 10 prep schools in the country.
When Delbarton decided to expand their athletic fields in 2008, Let It Grow was brought in by Natoli Construction to build brand new Baseball and Soccer/Lacrosse Fields in the South area of the campus.
The project began by clearing the sites, grading, and putting in under drain systems for both fields. An expansive irrigation and pump system was installed to maintain the fields and the site, and topsoil was installed around the fields.
For the Baseball field we installed infield mix & mound clay, the warning track, foul poles, bases, pitchers mound, bullpens, and sod for the field.
On the Lacrosse Field, we graded, built a concrete curb around the field, put down base stone and top stone, and then installed Synthetic Turf. We erected the scoreboard and also built the batting cages behind the field house, including the netting, turf and striping.
The fields are complete and the facilities now include team rooms, restrooms, and a concession stand, ready for the students and the 2009 Athletic Season.
