Donation of Healing Garden for the Jay Fund Foundation

Written by admin

On Friday, June 3, 2011 Let It Grow participated in a special donation of a healing garden located at the Giants Training Facility as part of Tom Coughlin’s annual Jay Fund foundation event. The Imbarrato family along with Let It Grow was privileged and honored to participate and build the Healing Garden in honor of the Jay Fund and the Giants organization. The Jay fund – created in 1996 supports families with children suffering from cancer.

Paul T. Imbarrato was proud to design, build and present the newly created garden to attending families. The 31 linear feet of the designed wall represent Jay McGillis’ jersey number – a former player of Tom Coughlin. Jay was a very special young man who developed leukemia while a member of the football team at Boston College.

A bluestone cross was designed to reflect a symbol of hope and faith along with plants that would flower beautifully to create healing. The Jay fund families spent time planting flowers, and participating in the last stages of completion that created a very special day at NMS.
