BASF is based in Germany and is the world’s largest chemical company. The Rockefeller Group purchased the 268-acre Exxon-Mobil property in 2000 and built a 250-room hotel, 830,000 sqft office space, a sports medicine institute, and a residential community of 425 units. Additionally, it includes a sports facility home to the New York Jets. The entire development is called the Green at Florham Park. The new building will provide office space for 1,100 workers. It is expected to bring an additional $500,000 in tax revenue to the town.
Let It Grow, Inc. was contracted by general contractors Rockefeller Group to construct the entry motor court and rear plaza area of the BASF headquarters. Let It Grow’s scope of work included the mass excavation of a sunken plaza, installation of two sunken gardens pedestrian and vehicular pavers, asphalt walkways, irrigation system, drainage system, and concrete veneer walls. In addition, Let It Grow performed all the landscaping, large tree and shrub installations, and site furnishing install including bollards, flag poles, handrails and planter walls.
The highlight of the project of a beautifully refined large fountain feature. This fountain adds a unique aesthetic appeal that includes what appears to be floating concrete slabs with in the water itself.
